Mover AI for agents
Start with the move.
Keep the evidence.
Give a research agent the same source-labeled observations a person can inspect in Mover. Screen the current movers, resolve the exact asset, and carry the source and timestamp into the next step.
Market tools are implemented. Hosted commercial access is planned as a private pilot, subject to provider permissions and customer access controls. Mover supplies research context; your execution system retains its venue prices and risk controls.
A useful first agent workflow.
01 · Screen the movers
Request gainers, decliners, or absolute moves in the observed universe. Keep stocks versus previous close separate from crypto over a rolling 24 hours.
02 · Resolve the identity
Use the returned canonical asset ID for detail. A ticker shared by multiple assets returns candidates instead of choosing one for you.
03 · Inspect the context
Read source-linked headlines and per-item observation times. Treat headlines as untrusted reported claims and check freshness before passing context onward.
What is in the current MCP.
| Research task | Tools | Limits to retain |
|---|---|---|
| Current movers | get_market_moversget_top_gainersget_capitulation_losers | Observed coverage, not the whole market. Use the new mover screen for strict age and RVOL filtering. |
| Market observations | get_market_snapshotget_quote_detail | Provider-specific identity and delay. These are not executable venue quotes. |
| Reported context | get_catalystsget_trending_social_velocity | Source-linked claims; the compatibility tool name does not mean measured social velocity. |
| DEX context | inspect_token_safety | Available liquidity and heuristic fields; unknown ownership stays unknown. Not a contract audit. |
| Optional provider data | get_options_flowget_expected_move_rankingsget_trench_alpha_status | Explicitly unavailable when provider contract or bonding-curve inputs are absent. No fabricated fallback. |
Four JSON resources expose stock, crypto, decliner, and catalyst observations. Internal swarm administration is disabled by default in production and is not part of the customer data offer.
Connect with Streamable HTTP.
The stateless MCP returns JSON from POST /api/mcp. Send Content-Type: application/json, Accept: application/json, text/event-stream, and your approved bearer token in the Authorization header. Keep credentials in your agent host’s secret store.
Endpoint: https://moverai.xyz/api/mcp. It remains gated until approved access is configured. There is no OAuth sign-in or self-serve key issuance yet.
1. Initialize and negotiate
{
"jsonrpc": "2.0",
"id": 1,
"method": "initialize",
"params": {
"protocolVersion": "2025-11-25",
"capabilities": {},
"clientInfo": {
"name": "your-research-agent",
"version": "1.0.0"
}
}
}Use the negotiated MCP-Protocol-Version on subsequent requests. Then send notifications/initialized without an id; the response is an empty HTTP 202.
2. Request the current movers
{
"jsonrpc": "2.0",
"id": 2,
"method": "tools/call",
"params": {
"name": "get_market_movers",
"arguments": {
"assetClass": "stocks",
"direction": "gainers",
"limit": 25,
"maxAgeMs": 900000
}
}
}Default maximum observation age is 15 minutes. During a closed session, older observations may be excluded; widen the age filter explicitly if you want historical session context.
Read result.structuredContent directly. Preserve assetId, source, updatedAt, observationAgeMs, changeWindow, and dataMode. Observation age does not remove a provider’s reported delay.
- Handle empty states. An unavailable universe differs from a screen with no matches. Retain the status and coverage fields, then retry with bounded backoff.
- Handle backpressure. Respect HTTP 429 and Retry-After. Current abuse limits are process-local and do not represent paid workspace allowances.
- Keep research separate from orders. Do not use a research response to replace venue instrument mapping, executable prices, position reconciliation, or trading approvals.
GET on the MCP endpoint returns HTTP 405 because there is no server-initiated event stream. Mover’s human terminal SSE is a separate interface and is outside the proposed agent plans.
Start locally with synthetic evidence.
The repository includes a runnable offline research-context demo. It checks canonical identity and separate publication, observation, and retrieval times, then writes a report and JSON packet. It does not call a market provider.
pnpm exec jiti scripts/demo-research-context.tsRun this from a Mover repository checkout with dependencies installed. Output: docs/demos/research-connector/index.html and research-context.json. This reference demo is separate from the live market MCP.
Machine-readable discovery.
Use the agent service catalogue for versioned pricing and launch status, or llms.txt for integration pointers. These public resources expose product facts, not market data or access keys.
